How Droll
I've always loved illuminated manuscripts, especially the odd little characters that tend to inhabit every inch of open space. These characters, called "drollery" are the inspiration for this triptych book. Three wood panels edged with copper are joined by hand-made medieval style wire hinges. The front panels are fabric rubbings from an old book. The inside is xylene transfers and acrylic.
