Psychic Fossil
The Psychic Fossil consisted of 125 cast Hydrastone "fossils" partially buried scattered all across the playa. Posters were put up in prominent places asking participants to STEAL THIS ART!
Those who found the fossils were asked to email me telling where they took them after Burning Man. I recieved emails from London to Seattle and from northern Canada to Texas, so I think I can safely say that this is the largest installation in Burning Man history.
The act of unearthing the fossil was intented to be symbolic of exposing a wound in your psyche so that it can no longer control your actions.
