Owl Totem
Who-whoooo! Out for a night hunt by moonlight, the owl is a powerful totem animal to anyone who can brave that wide eyed stare.
It was hard to decide how to classify this one. The original line drawing was done in Illustrator, on the computer. It was then printed in black on black paper, then I painted the value structure with white acrylic. The acrylic painting was then overprinted with digital color. The result is vibrant color in the light areas and deep rich colorful blacks that can't be achieved any other way. The photo really doesn't do it justice.
