Coptic
Stitch is an exposed spine binding method based on early Coptic
codices from 1st century Egypt. It is a very stable, yet flexible
binding, which doesn't require a lot of specialized equipment
to create.
A
variety of papers will be available for covers, but if you would
prefer a particular paper, I highly recommend the selection
at Kozo.

just east of Broadway which specializes in supplies for bookbinding
and print making.
Bring
a sack lunch. Weather permitting, we'll picnic by the pond.
